Tired of swiping past the same five people and pretending you “love hiking”? Let your friends take the wheel for a night.
At Pitch Please, your personal hype squad gets 4 minutes on the mic to explain why you’re a catch, and a room full of singles gets to decide if they agree.
Roll in solo and scout the pitches, or show up with your funniest and most unhinged friend and let them pitch you like you’re their favorite side quest. No roasting, no humiliation, just dangerously flattering stories, mildly incriminating fun facts, and a little “I can’t believe they said that, but… they’re not wrong.”
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
- 10+ friend-powered pitches (4 minutes each, with breaks to breathe and flirt)
- Interest Forms so you can quietly mark “yes, absolutely” or “hard pass” without the awkwardness
- Open mingling with drinks, music, and enough structure that you’re not stuck in the corner with someone’s weird uncle

FOR PRESENTERS
Do I need my friend's permission to pitch to them?
Yes, absolutely. This is consent-based. You must tell your friend, get their enthusiastic yes, and provide their contact info on the registration form. We'll send them a confirmation email—they need to approve before the pitch spot is confirmed.
What if my friend doesn't want to be pitched?
No problem. You can attend as a guest, or pitch a different single friend who's game. The best pitches come from people genuinely excited about their friend.
How long is the pitch?
Exactly 4 minutes. Introduce yourself, share your friend's first name + last initial, pronouns, key qualities, and what they're looking for. Think TED Talk for your bestie, fun, celebratory, positive.
What happens after the event?
We review Interest Forms. If your friend gets rated 3+ by multiple people, we send you their contact info. You then decide whether to share it with your friend. Simple as that.
When do I submit my slides?
Presenter applications close July 15th. Slide decks are due 48 hours before the event. Bring a USB backup.
