About this Event
Better FED Kitchen’s Cooking for MS class is tailored for individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS), caregivers, and families seeking to enhance their nutrition. This 90-minute class provides practical insights into how proper nutrition can support overall health and help manage the symptoms of MS.
Our instructors will guide you through meal planning and food preparation tips designed to meet the unique needs of those with MS. You’ll learn how to select anti-inflammatory foods that may help reduce flare-ups, manage fatigue, and support overall energy levels. The focus will be on nutrient-dense meals that are easy to prepare, packed with vitamins, and made from whole ingredients that promote wellness.
The class will demonstrate three MS-friendly dishes, showcasing recipes rich in essential nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and fiber. Participants will taste each dish and gain firsthand knowledge of how to incorporate these foods into daily life.
In addition to meal prep, we’ll explore how proper hydration, mindful eating, and balanced nutrition can support overall well-being and provide tips for grocery shopping and meal planning that fit the energy levels and needs of individuals living with MS.
Whether you’re newly diagnosed or have been managing MS for years, this class provides practical skills and knowledge that can empower you to take control of your nutrition.
