Join us for 'Cooking for Peace' and transform the way you perceive food!We all know the phrase you are what you eat, but we usually just think of the physical effects of food on our health. Come taste and learn to prepare plant-based recipes as we explore how food choices and food preparation affect our mental, spiritual, and physical well-being and the ethical impact on animals and the environment.
This workshop will include insightful discussions and vegan cuisine will be served.
Naijha Wright-Brown is an award-winning entrepreneur and passionate advocate for holistic living who embodies the balance of inner and outer well-being. Her journey toward veganism began after a high cholesterol diagnosis, when she chose a plant-based lifestyle over medication, an empowering decision that reshaped her health and her life’s mission.
As Managing Partner and Marketing Director of Baltimore’s celebrated Land of Kush Vegan Soul Bistro, Naijha has redefined soul food, proving it can be both flavorful and nourishing. She also serves as the Executive Director of the Black Veg Society, where she works to close health disparities by educating and empowering communities of color about the benefits of veganism and holistic wellness.
