Celebrate Mother’s Day with something as beautiful as it is delicious in this hands-on cookie decorating workshop with world-renowned artist Amber Spiegel of SweetAmbs.
In this intermediate-level class, you’ll learn how to create a beautiful floral cookie bouquet. This class is perfect for those who already have a basic understanding of royal icing and are comfortable preparing icing, adjusting icing consistency, coloring icing and handling a piping bag.
Together, we’ll build on those skills and explore techniques that bring cookies to life — including smooth flooding, wet-on-wet designs and blending, piping delicate ruffled flower petals, and painting on royal icing for added depth and detail.
Students are expected to have prior experience with:
Making and thinning royal icing
Coloring icing
Filling and holding a decorating bag
Students new to these techniques are encouraged to watch Amber's video tutorial, Royal Icing 101 to learn the foundational skills needed for this intermediate-level class. A link to watch this tutorial will be emailed upon request.
Each student will leave the class with their own decorated cookies, as well as copies of Amber’s signature cookie and royal icing recipe for continued practice at home.

Amber Spiegel, founder of SweetAmbs Cookies, is a globally recognized cookie artist and author with over 5 million followers across social media. While studying marketing in college, Amber discovered her true passion for decorating cakes and cookies, a craft that allowed her to blend her love of art and baking.
A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Amber now entertains and teaches millions through her mesmerizing cookie-decorating tutorials.
