Hands on. You will be cooking with a small team in this class.
About this Event

Age Restrictions

For ages 18 & up

Take this opportunity to explore Korean cuisine with a Southern accent. You'll whip up a dipping sauce and then create a pancake made primarily of chopped kimchi topped with crispy bacon & parsley; roast a chicken and make yangnyeom sauce to complement it; bake spinach with toasted sesame seeds; and produce a simple but delightful dessert.

For ages 18 & up. 21 or older? You'll enjoy a glass of wine paired with your meal.

Each attendee will receive a copy of Korean American: Food That Tastes Like Home by Eric Kim. Eric Kim will not be participating in this class.

This best-selling, highly lauded cookbook "with delectable recipes that explore how new culinary traditions can be forged to honor both your past and your present" has become a classic. Korean American was an IACP Award Finalist; One of the Ten Best Cookbooks of the Year (Simply Recipes); and acclaimed as one of the best cookbooks of the year by Bon Appetit; The Boston GLobe; Saveur; NPR; Food & Wine; Vice; and Epicurious.

Eric Kim is a New York Times staff food writer born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He worked his way through the literary and culinary world to eventually become a digital manager at Food Network and a senior editor at Food52, where he amassed a devoted readership for his “Table for One” column. He now hosts regular videos on NYT Cooking’s YouTube channel. A former contributing editor at Saveur, Eric taught writing and literature at Columbia University, and his work has been featured in The Washington Post, Bon Appétit, and Food & Wine.
