Join this conversation for artists where we will discuss ways of spreading the word about the work you are making with STAT magazine.
About this Event

"Conversations about... telling people about your work" will invite Pete Mercer who established STAT magazine in Leigh to share how they work. Starting points for discussion may include working outside of big cities, critical writing, establishing community support through individual sponsorship platforms like Patreon.

If you're wondering how to let people know about the work you're making, or the project idea that is brewing behind the scenes, then come along to this conversation event and work that out with the help of your artist-peers.

Artists Together: Conversations about…These regular events throughout the year are themed around an idea that is important to artists who attend regularly and hopefully are useful to people who just wish to join us for the one session.

We identify artists with relevant skills or experience on the subject and ask them to be peer-experts alongside someone from a regional organisation to create a rich space where artists can discuss, share and develop their practice.

If you have a suggestion for a theme for a future ‘Conversations about…’ event, please get in touch with us.

Funding credits

Artists Together is commissioned by St Helens Libraries and Arts, an Arts Council England funded NPO.

This Artists Together session is being held at Street and a Half as part of the Creative Development commission awarded by St Helens Council's Arts Service. This project is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority as the lead authority and part funded through Arts Council England. We will work in partnership with St Helens Borough Council, Kindred LCR CIC, St Helens College, and St Helens Borough creative practitioners from December 2024 to March 2025.
