Ravenswing is a duo that plays like they're dancing, weaving together the brilliance of Scottish trad with the gritty drive of New England contra dance rhythms. While Abi Sandy (guitar, tenor banjo, voice) and Crystal Zhu (fiddle, mandolin) grew up playing music across New England and New York, the pair came together in Scotland while traveling with the Edinburgh University Folk and Traditional Music Society, bonding over their shared love for community through music and dance on both sides of the Atlantic. Since then, their joyful arrangements and compositions have energised halls across New England and inspired dancers both new and experienced in Scotland. Their love for the places they have been and the people they have played with shines through every set they play, creating music that’s as heartfelt as it is exhilarating.6:30pm Beginner Lesson

If it is red or high, participants must either wear an effective mask - N95, KN95, KF94 - or have a negative self-administered rapid antigen test after 5 pm on the day of the dance.
