A rarity for the undergraduate music scene, students at UWEC have the unique opportunity to participate in the Contemporary Music Ensemble, which introduces students to a wide range of contemporary music from the 1920s to the present. Beyond compositions written in conventional notation, students are regularly introduced to other modern approaches, including graphic scores, electroacoustic genres and improvisation.The University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire Department of Music and Theatre Arts presents a student chamber recital in the Phillips Recital Hall at the Haas Fine Arts Center (121 Water Street Eau Claire, WI 54701) Admission is FREE. Doors open 15 minutes before start time.
