As part of our monthly Master Series in partnership with Workshop SLC, this month, we're spotlighting an innovative contemporary artist: Mary Benson!
Living in Charleston, South Carolina, Mary Benson creates pieces inspired by post-impressionism and fauvism, with shapes that reflect stained glass-inspired imagery. She uses bold lines and dynamic movements throughout each piece, piecing together a mosaic of color that unifies the composition.
By sharing her love of nature through these paintings, she hopes to inspire others to appreciate the beauty of the world around them and find their own moments of solace amidst the chaos of modern life.
During this two-hour workshop, we'll explore Benson's techniques and style, and create our own contemporary landscape painting inspired by her work.
All materials are provided, and all skill levels are welcome.
