About this Event
Join us for a very casual weekend retreat designed for re-centering and renewal. Adults in their 20s & 30s from around Western Washington are invited to Rainbow Lodge, just east of Seattle and at the foot of Mount Si, to experience the beauty of this natural setting and a wide array of contemplative practices in community.
Though only 35 miles from downtown Seattle (via I-90), the retreat center is located in a peaceful, natural setting of 40 secluded acres of woods.
This "Holy Quiet" retreat will offer:
- A selection of various forms of contemplative practices
- An opportunity to go inward, to cultivate a more intimate relationship with God and self
- An invitation to slow down, pause
- A shift away from a word-centric practice to discover/remember the wisdom of silence and the "still, small voice" of God
- An opportunity to be in community with other seekers
- A time to try something different, to experiment with new practices that have the potential to deepen faith in unexpected ways and complement a more traditional practice
- Optional one-on-one spiritual direction from Episcopal priests.
Feedback from past years' retreats:
"My favorite part was definitely singing Taizé services together! I was really able to enter into the contemplative space and it was a beautiful group worship experience. I also really enjoyed the holy hike!"
"Favorite parts of the retreat? …Meeting people, good things for my body, mind, and spirit, like balanced meals, restful sleep, prayer of many types."
"The setting was fabulous -- I truly enjoyed the Taizé and singing services led by the music team."
