About Heather Midori Yamada
Heather Midori Yamada has been exploring and creating with washi since the 1980’s, beginning in printmaking at Toronto’s Open Studio. Her chine collé, monotypes and collographs led to direct painting and collaging with washi in banners, collages and mixed media paintings.
Influencing her art making, Heather has been a student and teacher of contemplative arts, including hatha yoga, ikebana, Japanese floral arrangement, and buddhist meditation, among others.
