Montreal CI Workshops with Ming Tsai 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Spiral is a curve that moves closer or further away from a central axis as it revolves around it. It's a fundamental skill to traverse effortlessly in space and in Contact Improvisation.
In January we will explore Spiral on two occasions. The first workshop (11th) will be focusing on 4 different spiral rolls and the elongated property of this physical force. The second workshop (25th) we will extend the application of spiral to friction and explore how both friction and spiral shape us in our dance.
Both workshops will be all level and minimal verbal instructions. It's recommended to those who are interested in technical and acrobatic skills in dancing. The intention to offer these workshops is to build safe landing skills and expand our capacity to spontaneous flying.
