What does your dream city look like? How do our spaces need to transform to meet the challenges of the future? In a changing world, we need to imagine new spaces that meet the needs of everyone.
Dream City is a hands-on, collaborative workshop where we’ll imagine and design a better future for our communities. Through collage, drawing, and model-making, we’ll explore bold and creative ideas together.
Meet new people who care about their communities and contribute to a collective zine that will share your ideas and inspire change in Montreal and beyond.
No expertise required—just bring your ideas and curiosity!

À quoi ressemble votre ville rêvée? Comment nos espaces doivent-ils se transformer pour relever les défis de l’avenir? Dans un monde en pleine transformation, il est essentiel d’imaginer des espaces qui répondent aux besoins de toustes.
Ville rêvée est un atelier pratique et collaboratif où nous imaginerons et concevrons un avenir meilleur pour nos communautés. À travers le collage, le dessin et la création de maquettes, nous explorerons ensemble des idées créatives et inspirantes.
Rencontrez des personnes qui partagent votre intérêt pour l’avenir des villes et contribuez à un zine collectif qui diffusera vos idées et inspirera d’autres transformations à Montréal.

The facilitators
Victor Yin (he/they) is a writer, poet, human geographer, and climate educator from Burnaby, BC. Victor's experience is interdisciplinary, and spans academic, public and non-profit sectors.
Sophie Weider (she/her) is an artist and community climate organizer from Ottawa, Ontario, currently residing in Montreal, Quebec. She is the author and illustrator of two children's books about climate change, "The Girl Who Saved the Tree" (2018) and "Who?" (2021). Sophie is the leader of a collaborative creative project called Zine for Hope, which aims to provide a platform for youth to share their perspectives on climate change and hope through the arts.
