*** WHAT ***Over the course of this 4-week workshop series, we will explore a variety of techniques for dancing Contact Improvisation with deeper technique, increased flow, and an abundance of creativity, expression, and FUN!
Integrating approaches and movement philosophies from contemporary dance, Alexander Technique, Release Technique, and CI, David combines clear, technical instruction with playful improvisational exercises. Skills and explorations include:
• Awakening the spine to increase sensation and fluidity
• Connecting our breath to our movement and presence
• Using spirals and extension to fly with freedom and confidence
• Activating the fingers and hands for healthier contact with the floor
• Transforming kinetic energy for increased flow and decreased tension
• Identifying and breaking our habits to enjoy more creativity and expression
• Sharing and pouring weight for deeper connection and more graceful transitions
• Finding our own authentic dance and integrating it with our dance with our partner
David Poznic is an interdisciplinary artist and teacher with over 20 years of international experience. David works at the intersection of dance, physical theater, acrobatics, and martial arts, constantly searching for ways to move, and live, with more power, freedom, and flow.

Dancers of all levels are welcome.

- Full 4-week Series: $100 - $150
- Single Class: $30 - $50
*** REGISTRATION ***
Participation in all 4 weeks is highly suggested, as we will build on previous weeks’ skills in each class. Drop-ins are welcome, but registration is required and space is limited – priority will be given to participants registering for the full series.

The Lotus Dome at Chez Serendip
3442 Bean Creek Road, Scotts Valley, CA
Directions:
From Highway 17, take Exit 5 (Granite Creek). Turn left onto Bean Creek Road and follow signs for Redwood Glen. As you descend the hill, you will lose cell service—please review directions before arriving.
Look for a white farmhouse at a corner bend with an open gate. Drive through the gate and follow the gravel driveway toward the center of the property.
Please park near the pasture, barn, or arena. Do not block the driveway. Be mindful that this is a working equine property with uneven terrain and active horse areas. Walk through the open gates near the arena to reach the Lotus Dome.
