Constructive HR: Performance Evaluations that Help People Grow

This session will provide nonprofit leaders with a framework for shaping performance evaluations that inspire growth, strengthen alignment with mission, and foster a culture of trust and accountability. Participants will explore how developmental feedback fosters trust, accountability, and growth across teams. The session will also focus on strengthening Board engagement in supporting the executive director and aligning leadership efforts around shared goals. Through practical exercises and nonprofit-specific examples, participants will learn how to structure performance evaluations that emphasize learning and alignment, practice coaching-based feedback techniques, and identify ready-to-use tools and templates to implement constructive HR practices right away.
