As part of our commemoration of the US250, we invite you to join us for Constitution Day! Visit the Georgia Historical Society (GHS) Research Center on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to view unique objects and documents highlighting Georgia's role in the development and evolution of our national story. This free event will feature materials and activities related to this year’s Georgia History Festival theme, A Nation of Laws: Courts and the Foundation of Freedom, including GHS’s rare draft copy of the US Constitution from 1787, which contains the handwritten notes of Abraham Baldwin, one of Georgia's signers.
Visit georgiahistoryfestival.org for more information.
GHS is grateful to the Georgia History Festival sponsors and Host Committee for making the Festival and its educational programs accessible to students, educators, and communities across Georgia.
