History of the Constitution: Is the balance of powers in jeopardy? With Jayden Sampson
Time: 6PM-7:30pm
Jayden HC Sampson has dedicated his entire career to social justice. Before joining Montgomery County Community College as a Criminal Justice professor—where he has taught for 25 years—he served as a public defender in Philadelphia County. For more than two decades, he has been a planner for the Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference, now the Charlene Arcila Trans Wellness Collective. He is an active member of the Norristown Society of Friends (Quakers), where he has served as treasurer for nearly ten years. He also recently joined the board of Rebuilding Over All Restrictions (ROAR) as Vice President, supporting individuals with felony convictions as they reenter society and work toward positive, law‑abiding futures. Outside of service and teaching, he is an avid learner and endurance athlete. He attempted his first Ironman in September 2024 and, for his 50th birthday, completed an 80‑day, 4,300‑mile bicycle journey across the country.
His current favorite quote: “He that will not reason is a bigot; he that cannot reason is a fool; and he that dares not reason is a slave.” — William E. Drummond
