CONCERT HIGHLIGHTS
We’re delighted to welcome back The Early Dance Consort – Fiona Garlick and John Barnard – for their third collaboration with Consort 8!
Prepare to be transported as music, song and movement weave together in an enchanting program celebrating the grace and grandeur of Renaissance and Baroque courtly dance. With choreography drawn from original sources, Fiona and John will bring history to life, accompanied live by the musicians of Consort 8.
The program features elegant and spirited works by Campra, Caroso, Lully, Negri, Praetorius, Sanz, and Vecchi. Consort 8 will also perform two luminous chansons by Janequin and Sermisy, the gentle Aimable Vainqueur by Campra, the evocative Sans Frayeur dans ce Bois by Charpentier, and selections from Peter Warlock’s Capriol Suite.
A unique and uplifting evening of music and dance not to be missed!

The Early Dance Consort
A Sydney-based teaching and performing ensemble, specialising in the reconstruction of early European court dance from the Renaissance to the 18th century.
GETTING THERE
The church is a 10-minute walk from Burwood Station, with regular buses along Burwood Road.
Please note: there is no parking on church grounds, but unlimited parking is available on Burwood Road and at the Woodstock Community Centre (entry via Fitzroy Street). From there, walk 100 metres down Duff Street to the church.
