About this Event
Ujima Spirit Temple, Lakou Especial is hosting a conscious party & open mic session. We invite all positive artist, music lovers, & energize dancers to come be part of this great occasion. We play all the genre of music from conscious musicians: Root Reggea; Afrobeat; NeoSoul; House Music; R&B Rap & Hip Hop; Soca; Calypso; Jazz; Swing, New Age, & Alternative. You can sit down and relax to listen to beautiful music.
We will have live performances by special guest from local artists, rappers, & poets. They will bless us withh their amazing talent. There will be an open mic session for anyone who is inspired to share their voice. They must sign the open mic list to perform.
We will definitely dance and flow to the sound of our favorite songs. There will be interactive dance activities: line dancing; soul-train line; spiritual & ecstatic dancing, and cultural dances. The goal is to be creative, expressive, passion, & free as we experience the natural high of dancing.
We are a smoke, drug & alcohol free center. We do not allow any of these chemicals during our events. No negativity. We aim for positive vibes and one love. Everything is all spiritual & natural.
There are limited area for free parking. Make sure you don't park in the no parking zones; they can tow your car if you park there.
