Ride the Rhythm is a community-based conscious movement experience exploring authenticity, presence & inner connection through shared dance.
About this Event

Still Standing is a reminder of the resilience we all carry, resilience that connects us as humans, especially in these heavy and uncertain times. Across many countries, people are holding grief, fear, anger, and heartbreak, fighting for basic human rights or living through war and ongoing hardship. For those of us who live between worlds as dual citizens, the weight of these realities can feel even more layered.

As an Iranian woman, I feel a deep pull to return to my embodiment practices, to move, to breathe, and to release the emotions accumulating in my body. There is anger, sadness, devastation, and moments of hopelessness living inside me, and movement has become a powerful medicine for expressing and transforming these feelings.

I’m holding space for us to come together, to move, to feel, and to reconnect with the resilience that lives within all of us, no matter who we are or how we show up.

If you are from Iran or from a country at war or a place of ongoing hardship, please feel free to message me directly. I will share a promo code for a discounted rate, so cost is not a barrier to your presence.

What is Conscious Movement Practice/ Ecstatic Dance?

Conscious Movement Practice is a unique style of dance that is all about free expression and letting your body move to the beat of your own drum. Unlike traditional dance classes, there’s no choreography to follow or steps to learn. Instead, it’s all about letting go and allowing the music to guide you, enabling authentic movement exploration. Conscious Movement Practice has been demonstrated to help with stress and anxiety reduction, promoting alignment of mind, body, soul, and spirit. During a Conscious Movement Practice session, you’ll find yourself surrounded by a community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for movement and self-exploration. Everyone, regardless of their dance experience, is welcome to participate and enjoy the fun.
