WellSpring Lecture Series – The 8 Limbs of Yoga: The Path to MeditationJoin us for Conscious Connections, a 90 minute lecture where we discuss selected topics bridging the gaps between spirituality and science.
March lecture will discuss the 8 limbs of yoga. Practices for everyday life are outlined in the first 5 limbs: ethical restraints, moral obligations, physical posture practice, breathwork. The fifth limb of sense withdrawal serves as bridge between the body and mind, preparing the practitioner for meditation. The remaining three paths of concentration, meditation, and union with the divine close the loop between body, mind, and spirit.
