HUD Section 8 Compliance is complex and constantly changing. Keeping up with the changes and maintaining proper compliance is challenging and often frustrating. Amanda Lee Gross created this HUD Compliance course to train housing professionals on how to stay in compliance at all times, and become an expert in HUD Compliance. The Accredited Compliance Expert (ACE) course is a detailed study of HUD’s 4350.3 Rev-1, Change 4 Handbook. In this three-day course with an online exam, we will review all aspects of Multifamily Section 8 Compliance.

At the center of HUD’s Compliance Policies is household eligibility. During the Conquering HUD Compliance Seminar, you will learn about tenant selection plans, working with income and assets to determine eligibility and calculate rent. We’ll also cover:

• Civil Rights and Nondiscrimination Requirements
• Lease Requirements
• Recertifications, Unit Transfers, and Interim Certifications
• Gross Rent Charges
• Termination of Assistance and Termination of Tenancy
• Overview of the Enterprise Income Verification System (EIV)

HUD’s HOTMA (Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016 (HOTMA S. 3083/H.R. 3700 of the 114th Congress) means some dramatic changes to how applicants and residents for HUD Housing will have their income and assets counted towards eligibility and rent calculation. We will review these changes during this training to prepare owners/agents of what's to come.

Professionals holding this designation have a demonstrable and thorough understanding of determining household eligibility and rent for HUD's Multi-Family Housing programs.

The A.C.E certification exam is an optional online exam that can be taken anytime within 2 weeks after the conclusion of the course.
