About this Event
This season's concert explores the concepts of global connections, common stories, and the power of community. Our program will include diverse languages of Ukrainian, Luganda (an African Bantu dialect), and Hebrew. Composers include Randy Newman (Toy Story), Joni Mitchell, Brandi Carlisle, and Joan Szymko. Come hear the powerful words of Mahatma Ghandi, Mother Teresa, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and the stories of Matthew Shepherd, Nujeen Mustafa (a Syrian refugee), and Albin (a gay drag queen). This thoughtful program will uplift, challenge, and bring joy! We hope you will join us as we navigate unprecedented times through music and poetry.
Additional Ways to Support the Choir
If you cannot attend the event but would like to make a donation to our operating costs or scholarship fund, we would be incredibly grateful. Sponsorship for a singer for one year is $150, but any amount is appreciated. Our average costs for rehearsal space is $1300 per season and approximately $850 per season for our pianist. The best way for us to receive donations is through Zelle ([email protected] or by using the QR code below), though you can also do so in the ticket section of this page. Please specify if you would like to donate to the scholarship fund or to our operational expenses. Thank you for supporting community-based music!
