This is the LEWES event.
Join us for a friendly, informal gathering for anyone involved in a community group, charity, club, social enterprise or volunteer‑led project in Lewes District.What’s Happening on the Day
Connections, Coffee & Cake is designed to help local groups meet one another, share ideas, and discover the brilliant work happening across the district. Whether your group is well‑established or just starting out, this is a welcoming space to connect, learn and be inspired.
There will be two sessions following the same format - one in Newhaven and one in Lewes - and you are welcome to come to whichever suits you best (or both!). This is the LEWES event.
This event is hosted by SCDA as part of a programme of activities delivered through LD CAN (Lewes District Community Action Network).
You’ll leave with:

✨ Fresh ideas and shared learning
✨ A clearer picture of who’s doing what locally
And of course…
☕ Free tea, coffee and cake throughout.
🎤 Open‑Mic Community Showcase (5‑Minute Slots)
Share something your group is doing, promote an event, or ask the room for support.
You can use slides or photos, or just talk — whatever suits you.
If you’d like a 5‑minute slot, simply add this in your Eventbrite booking or email LDCAN to reserve a space.
🤝 Community Connections Meet-up
A relaxed space to chat with other local groups and find opportunities to collaborate.

If you’d like more focused advice, you can book a short 10‑minute individual session with our fundraising manager.
Just add this request in your booking information and we’ll schedule a time for you. (Limted spaces).
