Help your kids connect with nature through playful, hands-on experiences that support healthy brain and body development. This session highlights how outdoor, child-led exploration builds creativity, confidence, emotional well-being, and problem-solving skills.
𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀, a fun, play-based program that introduces young children to biking in a fun, low-pressure environment while boosting their confidence.
Through guided exploration, riders build confidence while practicing balance, steering, braking, and awareness on kid-friendly features like rollers, bridges, and turns. Designed for beginners and early riders, this session emphasizes taking turns, sharing space, and learning alongside peers. 𝙆𝙞𝙙𝙨 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩, 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙚.

Loaner bikes in a range of sizes will be available. Families are welcome to bring their own bike and helmet.

Meet behind the Education Wing of the Greenbelt Cultural Center. Dress for the weather. You may want to bring extra clothing if children get wet or muddy.

Experience the wonders of nature through your child's eyes. Each month we'll focus on using our senses to discover nature. Adults learn the benefits of outdoor nature play and exploration while children experience it.
