About this Event
Connect & Play
Join us for a fun evening at the Grey Lynn Community Centre! Get ready to connect with new friends while we play games & have deeper conversations. Come solo or bring a friend.
This event is broken into two parts:
Part 1: Play time!
Let’s get out of our minds and into our bodies. The first part of the event will focus on a few playful games, where we get to connect and play together as adults. The intention is to laugh, have fun and meet people on a different level and see their inner children come out to play. Some of the best friends I’ve made were through practices like this. You get to know and see people when they feel free and joyful, which is such a gift and the best way to connect with people on an authentic level.
Part 2: Meaningful convos
We bring the energy back down and share in deeper conversations. Topics or questions will be brought forward to spark our most authentic selves. This is a safe space for sharing and the intention of having more meaningful conversations to create deeper connections with each other.
I talk to so many people who are deeply craving real connection and as we get older in life, it gets harder to find people we can truly connect with. This event is for all humans who are searching for connections that have a little more oomph and sparkle to them.
What to expect:
- Wear comfy clothes that you can move around in
- Bring water and a cushion
- Any physical activities will not be strenuous and can be adapted for any abilities
- A supportive environment (we encourage all people to be fully themselves and will not tolerate harmful comments or language)
- Some games will involve physical contact with others (if you are uncomfortable with any game/activity you can sit that one out, no questions asked)
- A safe environment to be yourself
