About this Event
You’re warmly invited to softly step into a morning of making, curiosity, and connection. ✨
In this workshop, we’ll explore botanical ink painting using handmade pigments created from alder cones and other locally gathered natural materials. We’ll begin by sharing the simple ritual of ink-making, observing how colour is drawn from the land and how it shifts with water, time, and care. 🌿
From there, we’ll move into painting, allowing the inks to guide us. This is a space for experimentation rather than perfection. A space to listen, to share, or simply to enjoy our time alongside one another as we paint. You don’t need any prior experience, just a willingness to explore and enjoy the process. 😊
We’ll work at an unhurried pace, allowing room for conversation and creative play. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with your own botanical ink artwork and a deeper sense of connection to natural materials, to place, and to community. 🪵
