We are honored to welcome Sammy L. Davis, Congressional Medal of Honor recipient and Vietnam War hero. Known as the “real-life Forrest Gump,” Mr. Davis earned the nation’s highest military honor for rescuing fellow soldiers under fire in 1967. His story was featured in the 1994 film Forrest Gump.This special event will also recognize and honor all veterans in our community.
Rev. Mark Wilkins shares:
"It will be an honor, not simply to honor Mr. Davis, but all veterans from our community that day."
