Meet Your Instructor!
Andoche Loubaki

Born and raised in the Congo, Andoche Loubaki began his dance career in the capital, Brazzaville, in 1998 with the renowned choreographer Louis Causete. Two years later, with a passion for music as well as for dance, he joined the percussion group Toubillon as a drummer and learned to play the Ngoma drum. In 2013 Andoche started working with ballet ‘Ngoma Za Kongo’, literally meaning ‘Drums of the Kongo’, he toured with them in Gabon, Senegal, Libya and Malta. Eventually, they were invited by Africa Mondo Productions to tour the United States to bring different traditions and sounds from different regions of Congo to the American audiences. Today, Andoche continues to share music and dance of the Congo with his performing company, ‘Mfouambila’, which means ‘groove’, throughout the US.
