CHRIS NOEL AND THE BURNING HOUSE (Swing/Rock/Blues)
Chris Noel and The Burning House plays music from the 1930’s and 1940’s that most people today call jump-blues or jump swing, but back in those days singers like Big Joe Turner called it Rock and Roll. It is all fun-lovin and joyful music that will get just about anybody up dancing.
They do tunes by artists, such as Wynonie Harris, Roy Brown, many by Big Joe Turner, and also many tunes by The Chicago blues masters such as Little Walter and Howling Wolf from the 50’s.
Chris Noel has opened shows for Johnny Winter, George Thorogood, Stevie Ray Vaughn and many others. Chris has played with Pee Wee Crayton, Tom Lavin (Powder Blues), Donnie Walsh (Down Child Blues), Colin James, Big Dave McLean and Joe Duskin to name just a few.
Chris Noel and The Burning House is composed of seasoned professional musicians who all reside in the Nanaimo or the mid Island area.
