About this Event
A programme of sacred music and readings in St Chad's Cathedral, Birmingham.
Our great Elizabethan composers William Byrd, Thomas Tallis and Orlando Gibbons are featured, together with their European contemporaries Thomás Luis de Victoria, Dominique Phinot, Carlo Gesualdo and the slightly later Antonio Lotti, to create a wonderful Lent and Passiontide programme. Choral singing by the Birmingham Bach Choir will be punctuated with readings by Archbishop Bernard Langley and organ pieces played by Martyn Rawles.
