The Hispanic Music Festival will kick off Sunday, Sept. 14, with an exciting concert by Son Tumbao, a nine-piece salsa band from Wichita. The concert will begin at 3 p.m. at the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts and will feature traditional and modern dance hits with electrifying Latin rhythms. It is free and open to the campus and the community.
Organizer Isaac Hernandez, an adjunct instructor in the Pitt State Music Department, said Son Tumbao is known for high-powered performances of Latin music.
