Lowell Arts at Sound Check is a new music series brought to you by Lowell Arts. The series will feature a mix of local favorites and award-winning artists, presented at Sound Check, a venue in downtown Lowell designed to provide an intimate listening experience for music enthusiasts. Sound Check features an inviting aesthetic with seating for up to 100, sound deadening stage curtains to enhance sound clarity, concessions, accessible entry, and plenty of free parking.
Deerfield Run
Formed in 2016, Deerfield Run blends blues rock with a touch of country and a dash of funk, serving up a tasty musical blend that’s irresistible to audiences. Hailing from Grand Rapids, MI, the band delivers strong original songs and surprising covers pulled from a deep back pocket of classic tunes. As a group of seasoned West Michigan musicians with influences ranging from Al Green to Eric Clapton to the Eagles, their powerful instrumental and vocal performances captivate audiences of all ages.

Vespa
Vespa is a four-piece West Michigan band that feels both fresh and timeless. Once described as if a ‘90s female-fronted band grew up on Muscle Shoals, their chemistry is impossible to overlook. Lead singer and songwriter Sarah VE wields a tenor guitar, crafting heartfelt lyrics that balance vulnerability with power. Saxman Rolly Smith weaves soaring notes with tender moments, adding depth and a soulful, bluesy edge. Anchoring it all is a top-tier rhythm section (Chris Carr and Danny McCoy) that listens closely, shifting effortlessly between driving energy and laid-back grooves. “Kinda rock. Kinda folk.
