CONCERT: Santa Monica High School Choir (from California, USA)

Join us for an afternoon of choral music in the iconic Westerkerk in Amsterdam, performed by the Santa Monica High School Choir (SAMOHI) from California, USA. Directed by Jeffe Huls, who has led the school’s vocal music program for nearly two decades, the choir’s select ensembles perform frequently throughout Southern California and tour internationally every two years.

The program features a rich selection of choral repertoire spanning several centuries, including works by William Byrd, Maurice Duruflé, Eric Whitacre, Sean Kirchner, and Craig Hella Johnson, as well as arrangements by Mr. Huls himself. Audiences can expect a vibrant performance of classical and contemporary choral music with a strong emphasis on the beauty of a cappella singing.
