Texas Singer-Songwriter Jenn Ford was raised in the Piney Woods of East Texas and spent her youth singing in church, playing in her high school band, and playing piano before she was awarded a vocal music scholarship to Panola College. After 2 years of school, she enlisted in the US Army and served for 11 years in the Military Police Corps.
6 years of her time in service was spent on special duty performing in the United States Army Entertainment Division as a vocalist in the US Army Soldier Show, 62nd Army Band, and United States Army Europe Band and Chorus.
After her time in service, she returned to Texas with her children, to finish her Bachelor's Degree, and raise her family. Ford's passion for music lingered and she began writing and performing with several bands until she was asked to cohost the Texas Country Music Awards in 2017.
After a jaw dropping performance, she was signed to Texas Country Records and later to B&G Records Nashville and released her first EP in 2018. Since then, she has toured most of Texas and several states. She was declared the 2019 Grand Champion of the Texas Country Music Showdown at Billy Bob's.
She is known for her bluesy voice, witty songwriting, and electric live shows. She plays acoustic electric rhythm guitars, is the tambourine queen, and performs a variety of covers and originals; molding Blues, Rock, Americana, Country, Funk, into her own signature sound.
Jenn has played an average of 150 shows a year since 2015 and isn't slowing down.
In 2021, her Texas blues inspired song "Woman in Black" spent 4 months on the Texas Country Music Charts.
She has a strong interest in community programs, and has worked in public education, volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club, athletic programs and Truman W. Smith Children's Care Center.
She also spends time in her local VFW and has been honored in several Veteran communities and programs, because she uses the stage to encourage audiences to seek treatment for PTSD, drug abuse, and mental health.
"Jenn Ford is a powerful vocalist who is unapologetically honest and writes music with edge and grit. She can hold her own on any stage, and does it with poise and confidence. Plus she has a heart of gold."
-Texas Country Music Association President Linda Wilson.
"With lightning in her eyes, fire in her soul and passion in her voice, Jenn Ford lures you in one note, one lyric, one song at a time...."
- Texas Red Hot Radio Program Director
