Guitarist Sheila Noonan, bassist Barry Wiesenfeld, and fiddler Brian Conway explore and perform this glorious music. In the olde days in Ireland, instrumentals were written and performed on traditional instruments like the fiddle, harp, and tin whistle. In more recent times, and with Irish culture making its mark in the "New World," Irish American Folk Music was born. They now live in symbiosis, and this event will explore both. We'll speak of the fascinating history of the art form, tell related personal stories, and perform some of this wonderful music.
