Sure, we could play music from 1776, but let’s be honest, fifes and harpsichords don’t hit quite like Fleetwood Mac, AC/DC, The Who, Boston, or The Eagles.
This high-energy concert features unforgettable hits from the artists that defined a generation. It’s not a history lesson …it’s a time machine, and the destination is pure sonic nostalgia. Taking the stage is local band B.K. Rivers along with some added guests to create "Freedom Rewind," a powerhouse tribute band ready to rock the soundtrack of '76.
Whether you lived it or just wish you had, this is your chance to relive the music that rocked a nation during its 200th birthday and now rocking even harder for its 250th. So break out the denim, dust off your vinyl, and get ready to celebrate with Freedom Rewind, where the red, white, and tunes are louder than ever. As part of the Voices of Princeton oral history initiative, the event also encourages community members to share memories of 1976 and thoughts on 2026, by helping sharing for preservation personal stories that connect the U.S. Bicentennial to its Semiquincentennial through music, memory, and lived experience.
