About this Event
The Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Toronto and Ars Activa Foundation present a spectacular concert commemorating the millennium of the coronation of Poland's first kings – Bolesław Chrobry and Mieszko II in 1025 – and promises to be an unforgettable experience you won't want to miss.
The highlight of the evening will be the Canadian premieres of prof. Norbert Palej's "Ordo coronationis" and Te Deum" that transports listeners back to the year 1025, vividly recreating the coronation ceremony of Bolesław Chrobry. Experience the pageantry from the ceremonial entrance to the cathedral, through the solemn oath and anointing with oils, to the joyful "Long Live the King" and the glorious "Te Deum".
Performers:
- Christian Matta, tenor

- University of Toronto Choral Studies Choir conducted by Prof. Jamie Hillman
