In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Alston Memorial Organ, St. Luke's Director of Music Matthew Michael Brown is joined by members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in a concert benefitting the Hodgson Fund for Organ Maintenance. This fund honors the legacy of Dr. Hugh Hodgson, St. Luke's Organist & Master of Choristers, 1928-1969.
Brown will play solo organ works by J.S. Bach, Georg Muffat, Flor Peeters, and Louis Vierne. He joins harpist Elisabeth Remy Johnson, flutist Christina Smith, and trumpeter Michael Tiscione in music by Jean-Michel Damase, Chris DeBlasio, Marcel Grandjany, and Libby Larsen.
A reception follows in Budd Hall.
