About this Event
In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, enjoy a free concert by Canticum Novum that celebrates traditional American music, including folk tunes, hymn tunes, music from Appalachia, and spirituals. The concert will include the world premiere of a piece by Kenneth van Dyk.
Prior to or after the concert, enjoy our exhibitions "In God We Trust: The Knights of Columbus and the American Experience" and "Illustrating America: Columbia Magazine Covers." Explore 250 years of American history by discovering how the Knights of Columbus have persevered in improving society through its core principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism in the exhibit “In God We Trust: The Knights of Columbus and the American Experience.” Discover the humorous, sentimental, & nostalgic art featuring everyday American life of the 1950s to the 1980s in the exhibit “Illustrating America: Columbia Magazine Covers.”
