About this Event
Inspired by the intellectual and artistic legacy of Victoria Santa Cruz, the work explores Black female identity as a site of cultural resilience and artistic innovation.
Through live Afro-Peruvian percussion, choral textures, embodied storytelling, and ritual movement, the piece constructs a theatrical landscape that is both intimate and expansive.
Rather than recreating historical repertoire, the performance proposes a living continuation of Afro-Peruvian aesthetics in global contemporary contexts.
