Carlos Zapata, mathematician and physicist from Wolfram Institute, Society for Multidisciplinary and Fundamental ResearchIn this talk I will draw a parallel between the history of 20th century particle physics and modern frontiers of computational research. I will mention some of the research I am currently conducting as a Principal Investigator at the Wolfram Institute where we are exploring the emergent structure of elementary computational systems such as celular automata or hypergraph rewriting. In this context I will discuss the nature of mathematics and the role of human intelligence in an increasingly digitalized environment.

The event is charitable and is held to raise funds for the unit of Oleksandr Babak (researcher at the Institute for Nuclear Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, PhD in physical and mathematical sciences), who serves today in separate special forces unit. Our goal is to buy a trailer, which will facilitate the logistics of the drone launch group.
