About this Event
Healthy soil is at the heart of permaculture gardening.
In this practical workshop, learn how composting works with nature to build living, nutrient-rich soil and create resilient, productive gardens.
Led by Emily Rogers, permaculture educator, the workshop will explore composting basics and simple techniques that improve soil structure, retain moisture and support water-wise gardening.
You’ll leave with practical skills and permaculture-inspired ideas you can apply at home straight away.
What to bring with you:
- A small bag or bucket of garden waste from home to discuss and add to the compost. This might include green leafy material, grass clippings, autumn leaves, weeds, wood chips, twigs, wood-ash, straw from animal bedding, crushed eggshells or even a small tub of kitchen scraps (no animal products or dairy).
- Gardening gloves.
