Start the lifestyle you've been waiting to implement! Stop throwing your beautiful, carbon-based, food waste into landfills and instead turn it into a tool to get that stellar soil structure and tantalizing tilth you've always wanted for your garden, yard, indoor plants, or even forest stand. The Sustainable Living Institute at Trees for Tomorrow will be hosting master gardener, Alice Kramer, as she introduces us to the basics of composting. We will cover how to compost, the benefits of composting, different composting methods, and how to use your compost once it is ready. The class is available to individuals or groups of two. All participants will leave with take home packets which include instructions to begin composting and a review of the information covered in class. For an additional cost of just $60, participants can choose to purchase a 128-gallon composting bin to start their composting journey. Simply check the box after entering your contact information to add 1 or more bins to your order. This program is intended for participants 18 years of age and older.
