About this Event

Bring your kitchen scraps and food waste, learn how to make compost and why it's so important to stop it going to landfill. We have 5 different composting systems and can help you find the right one for your food waste or give advice for composting problems.

This month we are securing new screens around the compost area and making log piles for insect habitats that will slowly rot into the the woodland area feeding all the soil life.

There are lots of different tasks to suit all abilities and interests, or you might want to relax in the one of the only green spaces in the city centre.

All equipment, including gloves, is provided. Dress for the weather especially footwear.

Refreshments provided.
