About this Event
At Hunkapi Programs, we believe frontline media professionals deserve a place to land, exhale, and reconnect. They are often among the first to witness tragedy, crisis, violence, and human suffering. While their role is to tell the story, the emotional impact of repeatedly covering traumatic events can stay long after the assignment ends.
Through equine-assisted therapy and trauma-informed care, we will help you understand how stress and trauma are carried in the body and provide tools to safely process and release it. Our program blends psychoeducation, somatic experiencing, mindfulness, and the intuitive presence of horses to support emotional regulation, resilience, and overall well-being in a confidential and supportive environment.
This program will run on June 13th from 8:00 AM–1:00 PM Once registered, participants will be contacted within 48 hours to complete release forms. For questions, please contact [email protected] or 480.841.5737.
***This group is open to professionals who are on the frontline: reporters, journalists, photographers, videographers, producers, and other frontline media professionals regularly exposed to traumatic or high-stress events.
