This guided photo walk will explore the visual character of the neighborhood surrounding Competitive Cameras, with an emphasis on observation, composition, and practical shooting techniques. The area offers a compelling mix of aging warehouses, industrial textures, urban decay, and modern construction—providing a wide range of subjects for architectural details, abstractions, and street-style imagery.
The walk is hosted by Scott from Sony, who brings hands-on insight as a Sony Technical Representative. The pace will be relaxed and conversational, with time built in for shooting, questions, and technique discussion along the way. The photo walk is open to photographers of all skill levels and camera brands and is especially welcoming to beginners. The walk will conclude back at the store for a natural wrap-up and informal conversation.
Location & Timing
- Meet between 8:30–9:00 a.m. at Wayward Coffee, located in the same building as Competitive Cameras.
- The walk will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and conclude around 10:30 a.m., ending back at Competitive Cameras.
- Following the walk, Scott will be in-store from 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. with the full range of Sony cameras on display. Attendees are encouraged to stop by for a counter demo, hands-on time with the gear, and the opportunity to ask questions.
