Renowned for his groundbreaking work with icons such as Abdullah Ibrahim, Roland Kirk, and Sun Ra, Griffin brings his unmistakable voice and expansive musical vision to an eclectic program that bridges jazz, experimental music, and contemporary composition.
The evening will feature composer and guitarist Gene Pritsker, alongside Jennifer Vincent on bass and Dave Cossin on drums, acclaimed poet Robert C. Ford, and special guest violinist Lara St. John, whose virtuosic artistry adds another compelling dimension to the evening’s program.
Highlights include the premiere of Pritsker’s Renaissance Changes and Hokum, alongside Dick Griffin’s Sometimes I Feel Your Pain and Let’s Take a Chance, as well as music by the visionary Sun Ra.
