Hello! I’m introducing my company Insight Theatre! I will be attaching my poster, mission statement and our curriculum! The first session will begin on the Saturday 13th September, 9:30-10:30 for little starts and then 10:30-12:30 for big stars! First two sessions completely free with no expectations to continue! Just bring your child along and let them experience what Insight has to offer!At Insight, we aim to support children with so much more than just the performing arts. Insight is rooted in the applied theatre approach, meaning every showcase or production are original stories told by the young people. Our values foster collaboration and care for young people’s voices, to create narratives that evoke awareness, change or just express themselves freely in what interests them most!
I myself have been trained in applied theatre (community and education) at the Royal Birmingham conservatoire, where I graduated from this year. I have been extremely fortunate to begin my career in teaching young people in both highly recognised stage schools in the UK and in Prague where I worked in an arts school assisting with teaching the LAMDA syllabus and directing shows. I have also worked extensively within nurseries and schools creating drama workshops, where the young people create something with me, and I have experience in working with children with SEND.
