About program
Osteoporosis is a common but serious—and even deadly—disease. It is often called a silent disease because it can go unnoticed until a fracture occurs. Asian women are especially vulnerable to osteoporosis. Through this workshop, you will learn what osteoporosis is and why it matters, key risk factors, and how to prevent and manage osteoporosis. The workshop will be delivered in Mandarin and is designed for parents, older adults, and caregivers in the community.
This workshop will also include a handcraft activity where participants can design their own painted rock during the presentation. Use acrylic markers to bring your ideas to life, whether it's a simple drawing or an elaborate design. Focusing on colors, patterns, and shapes can create a calming, meditative effect — reducing stress and anxiety while promoting mindfulness, self-expression, and creativity.
